Session: Implementing High Maturity Processes and Quantitative Management Using Function Points and CMMI
Session Abstract:
New technologies have the potential to optimize software processes in terms of performance and quality in organizations that adopt High Maturity CMMI practices.
Many of these organizations demonstrate continuous optimization of software process performance using Function Points as the basic measure for Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Quantitative Management.
Projects that implement High Maturity Processes and Quantitative Management Using Function Points and CMMI are more likely to achieve the established objectives, such as improving productivity and reducing latent product defects.
At the end of this session, attendees should be able to identify practical ways that Function Points and CMMI High Maturity practices are used to quantitatively manage software projects, and to optimize software process performance aligned with business strategies, for instance, increase revenue and reduce costs.
