The International Function Point Users Group (IFPUG) is excited to announce the relaunch of the IFPUG Function Point Counting Tool Certification program! This initiative offers an excellent opportunity for companies to promote their function point counting software to the broader software measurement community.
Certification is Available at Three Levels:
- Function Point Software Type 1: Provides Function Point data collection and calculation functionality. The user manually performs the Function Point count, and the software acts as a repository and performs the necessary calculations.
- Function Point Software Type 2: Offers interactive Function Point data collection and calculation. The user answers system/software prompts, and the system/software helps determine the Function Point count, records it, and performs the appropriate calculations.
- Function Point Software Type 3: Automatically conducts a Function Point count using multiple data sources, such as application software and database management systems. The system performs the count with minimal user interaction and completes the necessary calculations.
The certification fee is $1,500 USD.
